Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,049.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Markelovich Guzhavin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gossip, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,884.61).
