Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Kupava by Mikhail Vrubel. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 121,169.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Vrubel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Tsar Of The Sea, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 285,635.41).
