Auction result well in line with expectations
The work South African 'Michelle, Mallies Household, Rustdene Township', Beaufort West Series, 2008 by Mikhael Subotzky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,920.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mikhael Subotzky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self-portrait (with the help of optometrist) R and L from Retinal Shift in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).
