Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Break-In, Rustdene Township', Beaufort West, 2006 by Mikhael Subotzky was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,307.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mikhael Subotzky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self-portrait (with the help of optometrist) R and L from Retinal Shift in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).

Die Arbeit 'Break-In, Rustdene Township', Beaufort West, 2006 von Mikhael Subotzky wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.307,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
