Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work House of Cards, 2004 by Mike Parr for AUD 861.00 (€ 530.92). This price was achieved in the auction The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Parr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Enquiry (Menbrane of the 20th Century), 1987 in November last year with an auction result of AUD 14,760.00 (€ 9,604.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit House of Cards, 2004 von Mike Parr für AUD 861,00 (€ 530,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Parr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Enquiry (Menbrane of the 20th Century), 1987 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.760,00 (€ 9.604,08).
