The work Memory Ware Flat 1 by Mike Kelley was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,301,000.00 (€ 2,964,526.27), 32% above the upper estimate. With this result, Memory Ware Flat 1 is even the most expensive work of art by Mike Kelley that we have observed at auctions so far.
