Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eva Green, 2005 by Mike Figgis was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,930.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Figgis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kate Moss, Descending, 2007 in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 79,796.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eva Green, 2005 von Mike Figgis kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.930,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Figgis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kate Moss, Descending, 2007 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 79.796,05).
