In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Abraham And Lot Dividing The Lands (Genesis 13:8-12) by Michiel I Coxie. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,788.93), 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michiel I Coxie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Emperor Charlemagne And Elisabeth von Thuringen As Patron Saints of Two Donors, Probably Guillaume de Bourgoing And Philippa Le Clerc du Tremblay, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 168,000.00 (€ 133,079.85).

Für andere Arbeiten von Michiel I Coxie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Emperor Charlemagne And Elisabeth von Thuringen As Patron Saints of Two Donors, Probably Guillaume de Bourgoing And Philippa Le Clerc du Tremblay beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 168.000,00 (€ 133.079,85) versteigert wurde.
