Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work "Durango Strata" by Michelle Stuart was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in February 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at SEK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 3,200.00 (€ 329.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michelle Stuart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnetic Forces in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,988.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit "Durango Strata" von Michelle Stuart im Februar 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit SEK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 3.200,00 (€ 329,84) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michelle Stuart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnetic Forces im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.988,66).
