Despite a disappointment, a good price for Michelle Liles
When the work Look at My Beautiful Reflection by Michelle Liles was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 573.75 (€ 534.67). Despite this disappointing result, Look at My Beautiful Reflection is the most expensive artwork by Michelle Liles that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Michelle Liles
Als die Arbeit Look at My Beautiful Reflection von Michelle Liles im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 573,75 (€ 534,67) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Look at My Beautiful Reflection das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michelle Liles, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
