This artwork by Michele Zalopany achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. In the Colossal! Monumental Works from the 1980s auction, the work Untitled (Ferris Wheel) sold for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,796.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michele Zalopany; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bequest (Gypsy Rose Lee'S Bedroom) sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,133.87).
