Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Venere Nella Fucina Di Vulcano by Michele Rocca for EUR 26,650.00. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michele Rocca - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rinaldo and Armida, which sold at auction in May 2003 for EUR 66,920.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Venere Nella Fucina Di Vulcano von Michele Rocca für EUR 26.650,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michele Rocca mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rinaldo and Armida beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für EUR 66.920,00 versteigert wurde.
