This artwork by Michelangelo Ricciolini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2018. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Christ at the column sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,549.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michelangelo Ricciolini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Daniel In The Lion'S Den, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,473.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michelangelo Ricciolini erzielte im Januar 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings wurde die Arbeit Christ at the column für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.549,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michelangelo Ricciolini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Daniel In The Lion'S Den beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.473,34) versteigert wurde.
