Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Six studies of prophets and sibyls, including the Persian or Agrippine Sibyl, the Delphic Sibyl and the Prophet David by Michelangelo Anselmi. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,083.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michelangelo Anselmi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putti dancing with hoops: a cartoon for the Cathedral in Parma in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 353,141.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six studies of prophets and sibyls, including the Persian or Agrippine Sibyl, the Delphic Sibyl and the Prophet David von Michelangelo Anselmi zur Versteigerung kam.
