A top price for Michel Henry - as previously expected
In June 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work Still life with flowers by Michel Henry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,699.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still life with flowers is the most expensive artwork by Michel Henry that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with flowers von Michel Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.699,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Still life with flowers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michel Henry, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
