Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A platter of fruit by Michèle Battut was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 325.00 (€ 408.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michèle Battut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Six oeufs, which sold at auction in March last year for EUR 1,386.00.

Die Arbeit A platter of fruit von Michèle Battut kam im März 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 325,00 (€ 408,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Michèle Battut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Six oeufs beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für EUR 1.386,00 versteigert wurde.
