Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Hommage (Mozart) by Michael Wishart. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 418.25 (€ 591.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Wishart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Redditch roses in March 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,929.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hommage (Mozart) von Michael Wishart zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 418,25 (€ 591,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Wishart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Redditch roses im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.929,54).
