Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours, which included the work A peaceful river landscape by Michael Angelo Rooker. The price achieved of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,143.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Angelo Rooker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battle Abbey Gate, Sussex; And Casars Tower And Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.143,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Angelo Rooker erzielen.
