Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Promenading Figures, Shrewsbury by Michael Angelo Rooker was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,041.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Angelo Rooker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Battle Abbey Gate, Sussex; And Casars Tower And Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34).
