Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Michael Noakes could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE ROYAL & SUNALLIANCE COLLECTION auction, the work Portrait of Sir Christopher Benson, seated changed hands for GBP 216.00 (€ 318.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Noakes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Frank Sinatra in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,546.79).
