Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Front of House/Back of House, which included the work Abstract Untitled Again by Michael Myers. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,000.00 (€ 845.59), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Myers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mirrored Shark Lines, which sold at auction in August 2018 for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,587.10).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Front of House/Back of House durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Untitled Again von Michael Myers zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 845,59) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Myers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mirrored Shark Lines beobachtet, die im August 2018 für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.587,10) versteigert wurde.
