Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Everest by Michael Kagan. The price achieved of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 27,559.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Kagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work It Begins in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Everest von Michael Kagan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 27.559,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Kagan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit It Begins im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43).
