Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in Tel Aviv held the auction Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Art at the Hilton Hotel, Tel Aviv, which included the work Contrabass by Michael Gross. The price achieved of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,354.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Gross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2011 for USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,551.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in Tel Aviv die Auktion Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Art at the Hilton Hotel, Tel Aviv durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contrabass von Michael Gross zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.354,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Gross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.551,92) versteigert wurde.
