Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Oranges & Grapefruit, 1964 by Michael Goldberg for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,162.99). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Goldberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Park Avenue Façade in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 337,976.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Oranges & Grapefruit, 1964 von Michael Goldberg für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.162,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Goldberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Park Avenue Façade im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 461.000,00 (€ 337.976,54).
