Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Flowers by Michael Goldberg. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,562.50 (€ 19,103.84), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Goldberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Park Avenue Façade in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 337,976.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Michael Goldberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.562,50 (€ 19.103,84) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Goldberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Park Avenue Façade im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 461.000,00 (€ 337.976,54).
