In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Two Highland Children By A Scottish Stream by Michael Frederick Halliday. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,066.92), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Frederick Halliday; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of a Girl, adorned with cowslips, bluebells and a daisy sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,787.16).

Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Highland Children By A Scottish Stream von Michael Frederick Halliday zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.066,92) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Michael Frederick Halliday; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of a Girl, adorned with cowslips, bluebells and a daisy im Juni 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.787,16).
