Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Leaving For The Hunt, Outside The South Gate of Dublin Castle by Michael-Angelo Hayes was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,813.71). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael-Angelo Hayes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910) with the Ward Union Hunt, 1877., which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Leaving For The Hunt, Outside The South Gate of Dublin Castle von Michael-Angelo Hayes kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.813,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael-Angelo Hayes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910) with the Ward Union Hunt, 1877. beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.035,81) versteigert wurde.
