It achieved a price of HKD 482,600.00 (€ 56,630.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mehdi Ghadyanloo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exploration of the Sun, which sold at auction in September this year for CNY 1,512,000.00 (€ 195,714.29).

Die Arbeit The Eternal Gate von Mehdi Ghadyanloo kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 482.600,00 (€ 56.630,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Mehdi Ghadyanloo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exploration of the Sun beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für CNY 1.512.000,00 (€ 195.714,29) versteigert wurde.
