Despite a disappointment, a good price for Mazen Rifai
This work of art by Mazen Rifai could be acquired at Bonhams in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art auction, the work Paysage changed hands for GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,649.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Paysage is the most expensive artwork by Mazen Rifai that we have observed at auction so far.
