Despite a disappointment, a good price for Maya Munoz
When the work Beat 3, Jesus Piece by Maya Munoz was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,673.07). Despite this disappointing result, Beat 3, Jesus Piece is the most expensive artwork by Maya Munoz that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Beat 3, Jesus Piece von Maya Munoz im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.673,07) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Beat 3, Jesus Piece das teuerste Kunstwerk von Maya Munoz, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
