Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work No 5, Rectangle Painting by May Hands for GBP 475.00 (€ 540.97). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Other works by May Hands have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2021 by the work Blue & Red Chanel with Pompoms at GBP 750.00 (€ 888.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit No 5, Rectangle Painting von May Hands für GBP 475,00 (€ 540,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Andere Arbeiten von May Hands wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit Blue & Red Chanel with Pompoms mit GBP 750,00 (€ 888,55).
