Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Collins Street, Melbourne by Max Dupain was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 2,031.50 (€ 1,221.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Dupain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunbaker, 1937 in August 2021 with an auction result of AUD 49,200.00 (€ 41,694.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Collins Street, Melbourne von Max Dupain kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 2.031,50 (€ 1.221,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Dupain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunbaker, 1937 im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 49.200,00 (€ 41.694,92).
