This artwork by Max Rabes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2009. In the Orientalist Paintings auction, the work Le Repos Dans Les Ruines sold for EUR 37,714.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Max Rabes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Storytime sold at auction in October 2005 with the realized price of USD 66,000.00 (€ 55,022.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Rabes erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Orientalist Paintings wurde die Arbeit Le Repos Dans Les Ruines für EUR 37.714,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Max Rabes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Storytime im Oktober 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 55.022,93).
