Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Max Ponty could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work Cie De Navigation Paquet Par Marseille changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 591.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Max Ponty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chamonix in January 2012 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,319.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Ponty konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Vintage Posters wechselte die Arbeit Cie De Navigation Paquet Par Marseille für GBP 500,00 (€ 591,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Ponty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chamonix im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.319,05).
