Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Max Papart was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Papart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musiciens in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 59,375.00 (€ 41,301.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Max Papart im März 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.250,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Papart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musiciens im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.375,00 (€ 41.301,47).
