Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A folder containing 13 prints by Max Klinger, including Portrait of Professor Dr. Lamprecht (1915, Beyer 423, IV/V) and nine larger-format etchings from various sets, including Intermezzi (Singer cat. #55, 56, 183, 201, 206 and 223), plus three other by Max Klinger was auctioned at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in December last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 382.50 (€ 357.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Klinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Junge Frau auf Diwan. in November 2013 with an auction result of EUR 162,500.00.

Die Arbeit A folder containing 13 prints by Max Klinger, including Portrait of Professor Dr. Lamprecht (1915, Beyer 423, IV/V) and nine larger-format etchings from various sets, including Intermezzi (Singer cat. #55, 56, 183, 201, 206 and 223), plus three other von Max Klinger kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 382,50 (€ 357,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Klinger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Junge Frau auf Diwan. im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 162.500,00.
