Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Max Fleischer could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of An Indonesian Girl changed hands for HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,187.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Max Fleischer have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2011 by the work A Batak girl at EUR 2,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Fleischer konnte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of An Indonesian Girl für HKD 21.250,00 (€ 2.187,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Max Fleischer wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2011 die Arbeit A Batak girl mit EUR 2.500,00.
