Despite a disappointment, a good price for Maurice van Essche
When the work On The Beach by Maurice van Essche was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,638.92). Despite this disappointing result, On The Beach is the most expensive artwork by Maurice van Essche that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit On The Beach von Maurice van Essche im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
