In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Irish Sale Part II, which included the work Yellow Field At Dawn by Maurice Quillinan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,576.45), 35% above the upper estimate. With this result, Yellow Field At Dawn is even the most expensive work of art by Maurice Quillinan that we have observed at auctions so far.
