Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Petit Marché Près D’Haiphong (A Small Market Near Hai Phong) by Maurice Menardeau. The price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,667.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by Maurice Menardeau have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work Pagode du village du papier à Hanoi was auctioned for EUR 8,820.00.

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petit Marché Près D’Haiphong (A Small Market Near Hai Phong) von Maurice Menardeau zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.667,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden.
