Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Totem Pole and Rolls Royce by Maurice Logan was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,235.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Logan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 181,562.00 (€ 153,866.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Totem Pole and Rolls Royce von Maurice Logan wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.235,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Logan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.562,00 (€ 153.866,10).
