Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green Water by Maurice Logan was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. The price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 5,067.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Logan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 181,562.00 (€ 153,866.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green Water von Maurice Logan wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 5.067,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Logan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.562,00 (€ 153.866,10).
