This artwork by Maurice Levis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. In the British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings auction, the work Chateaux De Josselin; Le Pont De Vernon sold for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,485.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Levis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Dinandier, Constantine, which sold at auction in December 2013 for EUR 25,980.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Levis erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings wurde die Arbeit Chateaux De Josselin; Le Pont De Vernon für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.485,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Levis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Dinandier, Constantine beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für EUR 25.980,00 versteigert wurde.
