The price achieved of GBP 2,484,000.00 (€ 3,682,440.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice de Vlaminck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paysage de banlieue in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 22,482,500.00 (€ 15,638,912.08).
