This artwork by Maurice Cockrill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Venus and Mars II sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,791.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Cockrill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Cockrill erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Venus and Mars II für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.791,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Cockrill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
