Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Poppies, Daisies And Asters In A Vase by Maurice Alfred Décamps. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,035.82), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Alfred Décamps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Villefranche"; and "Côte d'azur", which sold at auction in February 2000 for GBP 1,610.00 (€ 2,634.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppies, Daisies And Asters In A Vase von Maurice Alfred Décamps zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.035,82) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Alfred Décamps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Villefranche"; and "Côte d'azur" beobachtet, die im Februar 2000 für GBP 1.610,00 (€ 2.634,64) versteigert wurde.
