Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maurice Alfred Décamps could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work Gladioli in a porcelain basket changed hands for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,205.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Alfred Décamps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Villefranche"; and "Côte d'azur", which sold at auction in February 2000 for GBP 1,610.00 (€ 2,634.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Alfred Décamps konnte im August 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES wechselte die Arbeit Gladioli in a porcelain basket für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.205,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Alfred Décamps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Villefranche"; and "Côte d'azur" beobachtet, die im Februar 2000 für GBP 1.610,00 (€ 2.634,64) versteigert wurde.
