Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Daisy Chain by Maude Goodman for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,394.09). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maude Goodman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Flower Girl, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,288.85).

Im Januar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Daisy Chain von Maude Goodman für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.394,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maude Goodman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Little Flower Girl beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.288,85) versteigert wurde.
