In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work A black retriever in an extensive mountainous landscape by Maud Earl. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,675.95), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maud Earl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Pointer In A Landscape At Sunset, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 78,000.00 (€ 113,854.59).

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A black retriever in an extensive mountainous landscape von Maud Earl zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.675,95) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Maud Earl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Pointer In A Landscape At Sunset beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für GBP 78.000,00 (€ 113.854,59) versteigert wurde.
