However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mattheus Verheyden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ein kleiner Prinz in rotem Gewand und mit rotem Federbarett, which sold at auction in November 2019 for EUR 10,000.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait Of William, Count Of Schaumburg-Lippe (1724-1777), Three-Quarter-Length, In Red And Blue Frockcoat With Silver Embroidery von Mattheus Verheyden kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.385,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mattheus Verheyden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ein kleiner Prinz in rotem Gewand und mit rotem Federbarett beobachtet, die im November 2019 für EUR 10.000,00 versteigert wurde.
